    100045 | FRANCE & POLAND. Napoleon I bronze Medal. Dated 1807. Commemorating the Crossing of the Vistula River by the French Army (41mm, 39.26 g, 12h). By Andrieu, Brenet, and Denon.


    NAPOLEON EMP ET ROI, laureate head right / Nude female (personification of the Vistula river) reclining left upon rock pile, holding rudder; in background, French ensign bearing Napoleon's monogram; in three lines in exergue, SIGNIS VLTRA VISTVLAM / CONSTITVTIS / MDCCCVII (the flag having been raised beyond the Vistula).


    Bramsen 620; Julius 1714; d'Essling 1160. Choice Mint State, rich brown surfaces, with underlying luster. Stunning artistry.
