Edge: 1968 «cornucopia» BRONZE.

     

    Gem Mint State. Brilliant yellow-bronze surfaces, with sharply contrasting relief.

     

    Part of a series of medals struck to commemorate and advertise the various destinations serviced by the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique (CGT), this medal presents gorgeous artistry and serves---along with the others in the series---as an analog to contemporary posters printed for the same advertising purpose.
