IN ⢠KENNEDYN ⢠ABIECTA ⢠VIS ⢠DALLAS ⢠MCMLXIII, assassination scene, with President and Mrs. Kennedy, along with Governor and Mrs. Connally / IN / HONOREM / DIEI / ANNALIS / CUSUS in five lines within wreath. Edge: «triangle» and «crescent».

Following Kennedy's assassination in November 1963, the Karlsruhe mint in Germany issued medals that rather gruesomely capture the event itself on their obverses, while their reverses came in two varietiesātext such as the present example, and another assassination scene, this time of Jack Ruby.
