SULTAN MOHAMMED V, bust facing slightly left, wearing fez / ZUR / ERINNERUNG / AN DEN / WELTKRIEG / 1914/16 in five lines; all within wreath, with sword and torch crossed in saltire. Edge: Plain.

Pleasing yellow-brown surfaces, with a good deal of underlying luster remaining; some scattered marks and spots on the obverse; a moderate degree of pitting consistent with medals struck in zinc is present on the reverse. Extremely rare, with the Gorny & Mosch example being the only other specimen located by this cataloger.
