RЄMBRANDT, bust facing slightly right, wearing beret / Half-length facing figure of nude female, with head uplifted and holding paint brushes and palette; windmill and water in background. Edge: BRONZE «hallmark».
Choice Mint State. Even steel-gray matte surfaces, with a muted brilliance. Highly attractive.
Considered the greatest artists in Dutch art history, and one of the greatest in the history of visual arts, Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn was born in 1606 in the Dutch Republic, and, from very early on, became noted for his abilities across media and subject matter, something very unlike his Dutch master counterparts.
