100662 | AUSTRIA-HUNGARY. Franz Joseph I bronze Award Medal. Dated 1903. Issued by the Imperial and Royal Trade Ministry for the exhibition held in Hořice (56mm, 73.42 g, 12h). By J. Tautenhayn in Wien.

FRANCISCVS IOSEPHVS I D G AVSTRIAE IMPERATOR ET HVNGARIAE REX APOST, laureate head right / ČESTNÁ CENA C K MINISTERSTVA OBCHODU, male Victory standing right, crowning female Industry seated to right, surrounded by implements of commerce and manufacture. Edge: HOŘICE 1903.

ČS 1578. Choice Gem Mint State. Entrancing matte brown surfaces, with an impeccable brilliance; includes former insert, undergraded (in my opinion) as PCGS SP-66. Very rare this attractive.

Another award medal engraved by Tautenhayn and conveying a large and powerful bust of Franz Joseph, this type was issued by the Austro-Hungarian Empire's Imperial and Royal Trade Ministry (K & K Handels-Ministeriums) for various trade shows and exhibitions held throughout Bohemia and Moravia, now part of the Czech Republic.
