J + ERIK + LINDBERG + MYNTGRAVÖR + 1916 – 1944 +, bust right / Various obverses and reverses of coins engraved by Lindberg, along with one medal; sculpting tools and branch below. Edge: 5 hallmarks.

 

Gem Mint State. Gunmetal gray surfaces, with a slight matte nature and underlying brilliance.

 

Commemorating the career of an accomplished sculptor-engraver, the present medal features numerous works by Lindberg in miniature form, executed quite well upon the reverse by Lindberg's pupil and successor at the Swedish mint, Léo Holmgren.
