PRO DEO ET PATRIA (for God and country), angel standing facing, baptising infant held over altar by woman to right; decorative scroll in background / SPES MEA CHRISTVS (Christ is my hope), woman kneeling right, rocking infant in cradle and raising crucifix; cherub flying to upper left, spreading flowers. Edge: Plain.

 

Choice Mint State. Exceptionally lustrous and mirrored fields, with great relief to the devices; colorfully toned and iridescent, with some lightly scattered hairlines. Quite rare and highly attractive.
