    The baptism of Jesus: Christ kneeling outside of the River Jordan, with arms crossed over chest, being baptised by John the Baptist to left, holding cruciform staff with banner; radiant dove above / WER GLAUBT UND GETAUFT IST WIRD SELIG WERDEN (whoever believes and is baptized shall be saved..., –adapted from Mark 16:16), DER / GEIST IST'S / DER LEBENDIG / MACHT (the Spirit gives life..., –adapted John 6:63) in four lines; radiant dove above; all within ornate polylobe. Edge: Plain. GPH –.


    Choice Mint State. Highly brilliant in the fields, with some charming cobalt toning scattered throughout.
