    EVG V D BOSCH ADV ANTVERP, bust left; OB / CIVES / SERVATOS in three lines to left / Nude male (representing Belgium) on knees facing left, shackled and with head turned toward background which features rising sun and illusion of a hand strangling the German eagle wearing Pickelhaube; two line inscription across field: VN JOVR / VIENDRA – QVI TOVT / PAYERA (a day will come for which you will pay for this). Edge: FONSON & Cie.


    British Museum #2003,0707.20. Choice Mint State. Yellow-brown surfaces, with some very light spotting. A fairly scarce and poignant medal from the end of the war.
