Ehrensvärd 55; Peltzer 469. Choice About Uncirculated. Tan-light brown surfaces, with some subtle cleaning. A fairly scarce and interesting masonic type.

This venerable lodge was founded in 1756, enacted by Carl Fredrik Scheffer—a diplomat, politician, and writer. The iconography of the obverse alludes to the Rite of Memphis-Misraim—or, more simply, Egyptian Freemasonry—with the reference to the Sphinx.
