MdP 1569. As made. Light brown surfaces, with great relief.
Designed in Maurice Savin's somewhat expressionist, folk art style, this large medallic issue celebrates France's famed winemaking history and, though this specimen is unengraved, the type has been utilized as an award within the industry. Interestingly, the Confrérie de la Jolie Treille also utilizes a medal created by Savin and entitled "Le Vin," though it appears to be a differing overall design.
