OSCAR II SVERIGES GÖT O VEND KONUNG / SVERIGES VÄL, bare head left // KONST– OCH INDUSTRIUTSTÄLLNINGEN I NORRKÖPING 1906, ornate cartouche engraved "ALFRED STENHAGEN"; all set over laurel branch between two oak branches. Edge: Plain.

 

Gem Mint State. Mostly gunmetal gray, with some darker blues hues mixed throughout. Includes original box of issue.

 

It is unclear in what capacity Stenhagen won this award, but he moved to Norrköping in 1889 following his doctorate. He taught French and English, and received his degree in modern languages, specializing in French. In addition to teaching, he also published several linguistic works as well as cantatas and incidental verses.
