    JOHN STEINBECK / PRIX NOBEL 1962, bust right // "charmes qui aspirent les êtres et les paysages" / "terre femme eau soleil," stylized representations of the earth, a woman, water, and the sun. Edge: «cornucopia» BRONZE.


    Gem Mint State. Brassy-bronze surfaces, with a slightly glossy nature. A fairly scarce and stylized literature-related medal.


    Winning the Nobel Prize in literature in 1962 "...for his realistic and imaginative writings, combining as they do sympathetic humor and keen social perception," John Steinbeck stands as titan in American letters, penning such works as Tortilla Flat, Cannery Row, East of Eden, Of Mice and Men, and The Grapes of Wrath.
