102630  |  UNITED STATES. Skull, Snake & Spider brass Medal. Issued circa early 1980s (29mm, 17.10 g, 12h). By R. Landis and likely hand struck at a Renaissance Faire.

 

Skull facing slightly right, with serpent coiling into and out of the eye sockets // Woolly spider left within a web. Edge: Ornamented.

 

As Made. Brassy-yellow surfaces, with great brilliance. A very early work when Ron Landis and Joe Rust were doing the Renaissance Faire circuit, exhibiting their drop hammer coin press, and long before the Gallery Mint and Landis Studios. As such, extremely rare, especially this attractive.
