Instituted in 1803, the award for "zeal and devoted service" is awarded to one who has served as an employee of the Swedish nation for 30 years, showing exemplary work and effort in the process. According to grave records, this particular award was likely presented to a Jean Arthur Svensson who was born on 8 May 1880, passed away on 28 December 1961, and was buried at Trosa-Vagnhärads parish in Södermanlands County.
