The workup in the Spring 2005 issue of The Medal offers this about the artist and her BAMS medal: "Megan Walsham is a second-year student at Falmouth College of Arts. Her medal, "A Shadow," was entered into the 2004 BAMS Student Medal Project, where it won a prize, presented by Malcolm Appleby, for the use of dialogue between its two sides and the sensitivity in its creation. The medal is now being issued by BAMS. The artist wrote about the medal in the Student Medal Project catalogue, Contemporary art medals: 'I have always been fascinated by the idea of using clothes as a medium to portray ideas of memories, loss and time passing. Here I am trying to express the idea of a woman's clothes being the ghost of her former self, an impression of where she once was. I wanted to emphasise the notion of a moment frozen in time, so the shape and size are irregular and tiny; it is precious but insignificant, echoing the essence of memories.'"
