Strothotte 1700-10; GPH 1229. Choice Extremely Fine. Fairly deeply toned, with some pleasing brilliance remaining among the protected areas and some scattered field marks.

 

No matter the era or even the specific year, the change from one year to another has always seemingly brought with it the idea of better tidings and new beginnings, with the less desirable aspects of the previous year being happily left behind. On this medal, the cataclysmic nature of the great flood is indicated via Noah's Ark, with the eventual resetting of everything obviously front of mind.
