Adaptation of Raphael's Madonna del Prato (Madonna of the Meadow), with the Virgin Mary in a colorful cloak, composed of blue (for motherhood) and red (for virginity), holding the Infant Christ, and with the Infant John the Baptist leaning in from the right; engraved ornate spindle to left, engraved nimbus crowns on the Virgin Mary and John the Baptist, engraved radiate nimbus crown on the Infant Christ // Reverse of 1878 Austria 2 Gulden of Franz Joseph I. Edge: Ornate clasp added to top.
