CORONATION OF KING GEORGE VI & QUEEN ELIZABETH, crowned and mantled jugate busts left of George and Elizabeth // UNITED BRITISH EMPIRE, Britannia and four differently-attired allegories representative of the empire: Africa, Australia, India, and Canada; they stand outwardly with clasped hands around crowned globe focused upon the Eastern Hemisphere. Edge: A very minor rim bruise near 7h on the obverse is noted, otherwise plain.

 

BHM 4340; Eimer –. Gem Mint State. Tan-olive surfaces, with a charming matte aspect and darker hints around the devices. Includes original box of issue.
