103538  |  GREAT BRITAIN. Agricultural Society silver Award Medal. Engraved and awarded in 1907 to Messrs. J. & E. Ison & Son by the society based in Staffordshire (43mm, 63.88 g, 12h). By Thomas Ottley in Birmingham.

 

Two bovines and pig standing right, horse standing left; in foreground, reclining lamb with two chickens; farmhouse in background // STAFFORDSHIRE AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY / ESTABLISHED 1844, "AWARDED TO / MESSrs J & E ISON & SON / FOR / COLLECTION / OF / IMPLEMENTS / 1907" engraved in seven lines; all within complex grain wreath, with farm implements and tools at bottom. Edge: Housed in clasp with loop attached at the top and with original lunettes.

 

Forrer –. Choice Gem Mint State. Stunningly argent and frosty white, with no marks at all and a few tinges of burnished toning. Exceedingly attractive and wondrous. Includes original box of issue.
