103675 | GERMANY. Marriage silver Medal. Engraved 18 September 1902 (50mm, 54.09 gms, 12h). By Hermann Dürrich (in 1898) for Mayer & Wilhelm in Stuttgart.
Robed groom leading robed bride right toward rowboat in water; in sky to upper right, cherub spreading out roses // Two robed angels on their knees facing one another, holding between them a plaque engraved "18 SEPTEMBER / 1902" in two lines; lit and smoking urn above; in two lines below, SEI GETREU BIS IN DEN / TOD (be faithful until death); stars around. Edge: Plain.
Cf. Bernd Kaiser 159 (for a similar silver example engraved 1901). Choice Mint State. Charming gunmetal gray surfaces, with some darker hues further accentuating the devices. A great Beaux-Arts marriage commemorative. Includes original box of issue.
